As US agribusiness Cargill reaches further into Europe, the upcoming Food Ingredients Europe 2003 exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany bears witness to the company's growing presence.
The company will present no less than eight of its business units at the show. Cargill Dry Corn Ingredients, one of the eight, recently announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art masa flour production facility in Liverpool, UK that provides for the European market.
In a statement this week the company pushed the Cargill DCI capabilities, stressing that they are supported by 'several Cargill technical development centers and research resources', which include the recently acquired French starch and sweeteners manufacturer Cerestar.
The FiE 2003 exhibition will take place from 18-20 November, 2003.
