The Waterloo-based firm claims its product meets the demand from a 'major dairy products manufacture' to 'size-reduce' ice cream ingredients.
According to Quadro, the milling action of the Quadro Comil sizes the heat-sensitve and high-fat materials continuously 'without excessive screen blockage', producing a high volume of uniformly sized, irregularly shaped product.
"Depending on the material, the Comil can produce free-flowing particles, chunky paste, fine paste or syrup; even products containing caramel can be reduced in size," said the firm in a recent statement.
The equipment also 'eliminates the need for costly dust containment devices' and, claims Quadro, the design enables 'quick tooling changeover, easy-clean, low maintenance and flexible feeding conditions (manual, mechanical or pneumatic)'.
