Bosch claims first airtight single material packaging technology

Bosch Packaging Technology has launched what it says is the first machine capable of hermetically sealed single-wrap die fold packaging for small to medium sized chocolate bars.

ConfectioneryNews.com spoke to Bosch sales manager Urs Moser in Cologne, Germany during the confectionery trade fair ProSweets 2012.

Mr Moser talked about his company’s Starpac 600 HL which hermetically seals chocolate with a single packaging material.

In this podcast he claims this packaging method can protect chocolate more effectively, reduce packaging material and give extended shelf-life.
