The vice president of trade fair management said the higher number of exhibitors and floor space compared to the last show in 2009 was just one sign that the sector was in good shape.
The four-day event showcased an ever greater number of high-tech applications as innovations around automation, clean room and nanotechnology were in evidence among both the supporting programme and on the show floor.
The development of complete line solutions was also a noticeable theme, he added.
“The innovation power of this show is gigantic and is the place to be for anyone who wants to produce food and beverages in the future,” Grothues declared.
