ADM restructures cocoa business

ADM Cocoa has separated its organizational structure into five key regions and business units, it announced today.

Scott Walker who remains as president of ADM Cocoa said: “We are confident that, with such a strong team in place, we can continue to draw on our knowledge of cocoa and the rich heritage of deZaan to deliver great results for our customers that surpass consumers’ expectations.”

The new structure is as follows:

  • Grant Belden - general manager, Global Trading, Sourcing and Semi-Finished,
  • Benoit Villers - Global Gourmet, and Marketing.
  • Chris Beetge - Europe and Middle East
  • Dennis Whalen - Americas.
  • Yeong Chye – Cocoa Asia

In addition, Kai-Uwe Ostheim will become general manager, Global Sustainability Cocoa, and will oversee ADM’s push for sustainable cocoa farming.

Tim Coonan has also been named vice president, Global Risk Cocoa, and will now chair ADM’s Global Cocoa Risk Committee.
