ADM ups cocoa processing 17% in Singapore

ADM Cocoa has expanded its cocoa processing in Singapore which increase its output in the country by 17%.

The company announced yesterday that it had completed the expansion by upgrading existing equipment and installing new machines.

ADM said the increased capacity would help it meet rising demand for its deZaan cocoa butter, cocoa powder and cocoa mass (liquor) across Asia.

Yeong Chye, managing director for ADM Cocoa Asia said: “Consumer interest in cocoa and chocolate products is growing across Asia, with particularly strong demand in emerging markets such as China, India, Indonesia and the Philippines.”
