Mondelez enters $45m-a-year marketing deal in Brazil

Mondelez International has entered into a marketing partnership with InnerWorkings in Brazil, one of its priority markets.

A 15-strong team from InnerWorkings will manage printed communication materials, branded promotional products, sales promotions, BTL agencies, events, sponsorships and expenses relating to other marketing service providers.

The $45m-a-year deal comes ahead of the soccer World Cup which takes place in Brazil next year.

Mondelez has a 56% share of the Brazilian sugar and gum confectionery market and is also the domestic leader in chocolate ahead of Nestlé and Garoto, according to market analysts Mintel.
