Priced $4.95 for a plastic egg containing three Lip Smacker lip balms, the products are available now in flavors including Skittles' green apple, wild berry and strawberry; and Starburst’s mango, melon and orange.
They are produced under licence by Markwins, who is the registered trademark holder of Lip Smacker.
“Working with our licensee partners, we create a wide range of items such as apparel, novelty, housewares, accessories, plush, dispensers and candy,” said Mars general manager of licensing John Capizzi.
The Skittles and Starburst flavored Lip Smacker trios are designed to appeal to teenagers and older consumers, added Capizzi. They are currently available at a wide range of retailers across the country, as well as online at lipsmacker.com.
Markwins Beauty Products president Bill George said Starburst and Skittles branded Lip Smackers are among the business's most successful products, adding he was looking forward to adding new properties to Markwins' expanding Mars portfolio.
