UN consultant joins BakeryAndSnacks Product Recall Debate

BakeryAndSnacks is hosting a panel discussion on how snacks and candy makers can best deal with product recalls at ProSweets in Cologne.

'Dealing with Recalls – Prevention and How to Avoid a PR Disaster for Candy and Snacks’ will take place in the ProSweets Speakers Corner on Tuesday, January 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

A new panellist will be joining the lineup of experts taking part in the debate on product recall to be hosted at ProSweets/ISM in Cologne.

Professor Josep Tous will be replacing Farzah Henareh, who unfortunately has unforeseen work commitments.

Tous works at product safety director for Stericycle ExpertSOLUTIONS.

He is also a consultant in consumer affairs and product safety for the United Nations, and a member of the product safety working group of the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development).

Additionally, Professor Tous is a visiting professor in consumer protection and consumer product safety at six European universities, including the University of Barcelona, Brunel University, University of Bologna and University of Montpellier.
