Speaking with CBS Sunday Morning, scheduled to broadcast on Feb 11, 2018, Lauren said the new line “Treat Yourself” is part of Dylan’s Candy Bar’s corporate expansion plans. The plans also include adding new stores in Dubai and Japan to its existing 16 outlets.
Packaging for the new candies is also different from the retailer’s traditional brightly colored offerings, she mentioned.
“Because everything else is so colorful… I want people to understand it’s vegan, it’s gluten-free, nut-free and allergen-free,” Lauren said.
Lauren, the daughter of internationally renowned fashion designer Ralph Lauren, recently received the ISM award in Cologne, Germany, for her services to the confectionery industry.
