Nestlé confectionery Christmas line-up for 2018 will include seasonal offerings from its KitKat, Milkybar, Smarties and Quality Street brands.
The company also announced it has reduced the size of each of the product’s outer box by 12% to “improve efficiency on shelf for retailers.”
Nestlé will be launching two new packs of its KitKat Senses variant; one available in a Christmas tree shaped box containing 24 chocolates (£4.99, $6.45) and a £1.49 ($1.93) “stocking filler” pack containing five chocolates in a mixture of flavors.
Three new Christmas characters will join the white chocolate Milkybar Polar bear variant – a snowman, a seal and a snowy owl.
And the milk chocolate Smarties Penguin will be joined by a Rudolph, a Santa and a robin. All characters will retail at 65p, complete with festive packaging designs.
Nestlé has also revamped its Quality Street 720g tub (£7.74, $10) to include an “improved assortment” and features “even more chocolatey sweets and fewer toffees and crèmes.”
The Quality Street brand will also include a premium Advent Calendar (£5, $6.47), containing two of every Quality Street sweet.
A Smarties 3D advent calendar will also be added to the portfolio (£10, $12.93), which will include four different Smarties products.
Nestlé said the advent calendar category has grown by 45% over the past five years, with premium sales “almost trebling.”
Its gift box range will also include Dairy Box Temptations and Black Magic Temptations, each retailing at £1 ($1.29).
Dairy Box will contain Orange Sensation, Nutty Truffle and Dreamy Fudge milk chocolate twist-wraps, and Black Magic will contain Midnight Truffle, Orange Sensation, Dreamy Fudge and Raspberry Heaven dark chocolate twist-wraps.
