Next year’s ProSweets/ISM show in Cologne to go ahead as normal as CEO Böse takes over role.

ProSweets/ISM organizer Kolenmesse has announced it has parted ways with its chief operating officer Katharina C Hamma with immediate effect.

The German-based group, who is also a co-organizer of Yummex in Dubai, said the split came ‘in light of differing views on the future strategic direction of the company’.

Its Supervisory Board issued a statement earlier this month stating that Koelnmesse CEO Gerald Böse will assume Hamma's previous responsibilities.

Hamma was appointed to the management board of Koelnmesse in 2011 to fill the newly created COO position.

ProSweets/ISM is the world's leading trade fair for sweets and snacks and is an annual event held in Cologne each January covering the entire value chain of the confectionery industry. Recent developments have not affected the planning of next year's show. Confectionery News is one of its media partners.
