Mars Wrigley Confectionery has announced it has expanded its popular Twix bar range with new Twix Triple Chocolate, which the company says offers ‘increased texture and crunch’.
Michelle Deignan, Twix brand director, said: “Our consumers are seeking chocolate treats that play on texture and crunch. This new flavor takes the classic Twix Cookie Bar our fans know and love and combines it with three times the chocolate to create a new favourite for all chocolate lovers.”
Mars said the product is made of chocolate cookie bars, chocolate caramel and is cloaked in milk chocolate, offering “triple the flavour”.
The confectionery giant recently launched Twix Dark in the US, featuring the brand’s signature shortbread cookie and caramel topping – but with dark chocolate in place of the usual milk chocolate.
Mars also revived its white chocolate version, Twix White, which was previously available as a seasonal limited-edition, and relaunched Twix Peanut Butter, which replaces the regular Twix’s caramel for a layer of peanut butter.
The new Triple bars are available in the US, sold in singles packs (1.41oz) or a share size (2.82oz).
