UK chocolatier partners with Guittard Chocolate on Monet Easter Egg

UK chocolatier Paul A Young has partnered with Guittard Chocolate to create an Easter Egg collection inspired by the impressionist artist Monet.

The Easter eggs are available in Guittard Chocolate 72% dark, 38% milk and white chocolate hand painted in green, pink and blue edible metallic decoration. Inside is a clutch of half dark, milk or white chocolate chicks speckled in sprinkles.

Stand-out design

My Easter collection this year was designed to reflect the Spring season. To create a collection of eggs that I’ve been inspired by the impressionist artist Monet, using a decorative palette of layered spring colours and shimmers,” said Young.

The eggs this year have also all been hand-painted in the impasto style to create an overall unique decoration that is different to all other Easter eggs."

Other Easter specials include a limited edition Easter Egg made from Guittard Chocolate’s 65% Single Origin Peruvian couverture in gold, silver and bronze. The egg is accompanied by a nine piece box of limited edition 65% Peruvian caramel truffles.

Also, Young’s Sea Salted Caramel Hens Egg with caramel yolk and Milk and Dark Chocolate Bunnies, decorated yellow (milk bunny) and green (dark chocolate bunny) and come with chocolate pearls.

Hot Cross Bun truffles

The Spring Chocolate Collection includes El Dorado Rum & Raisin, Lemon Tart and Hot Cross Bun truffles, or Goats Cheese, Cornish Smoked Sea Salt and Black Pepper, Yuzu, Soy and Wasabi or Burnt Butter Sourdough Caramel. 

Other chocolates in the collection include FireTree Triple Dark Chocolate, Oat Milk Latte, Apricot, Toasted Pine Nut and Amaretti, Orange and Rosemary Mascarpone Cheesecake, Ginger Beer and Cornish Sea Salted Toasted Almond. 

The 2019 Easter Collection is available to buy from Young’s three London chocolateries or by post, telephone order, with a limited selection available online.
