The exposition runs until 5 December the Parc des Expositions in Paris Nord, Villepinte, and is expected to attract 30,000 visitors.
Olam Cocoa will be showcasing its deZaan TrueDark cocoa powder, which it claims is the first ever, ‘natural (non-alkalised) dark cocoa powder’.
Edward Norder, Olam’s global head of cocoa ingredient development & innovation, said: “Our passion is creating cocoa ingredients that provide intensity of taste that is second to none, and we are helping chocolate, confectionery and dairy manufacturers worldwide to excel in an environment of constantly evolving consumer trends. From meeting the demand for products with straightforward ingredients that are still powerfully indulgent, to helping them find the ideal cocoa ingredient for their specific recipe, we have the cocoa solution.”
Along with flaunting its clean-label credentials with deZaan, Olam Cocoa will also be presenting its sustainability ambition for the future of cocoa under its Cocoa Compass programme.
Under the three pillars of ‘Focused on Farmers’, ‘Empowered to Grow’ and ‘Investing in Nature’, it sets challenging goals for 2020, 2024 and 2030 that it claims will help it achieve its vision ‘to create an environmentally positive, professionalised and quality focused cocoa supply chain comprised of farmers who earn a living income and whose children have access to education’.
Olam Cocoa’s team are located C51 in Hall 6 of the venue.
