UK high-quality confectioner Hames Chocolates has chosen the ISM2020 trade fair in Cologne to launch its Great British Chocolate bar range.

The family run firm, established in the 1970s, supplies well-known UK businesses and high street brands, and is regarded as an expert in premium chocolate and confectionery production.

Made with sustainably grown cocoa from Cocoa Horizons and milk from cows who graze in British meadows, the Great British Chocolate range is made in the company’s factory in Lincolnshire.

Carol Oldbury, director at Hames Chocolates, said: “We have been making chocolates in Lincolnshire for 15 years and are passionate about what we do. We are really proud to be launching our first British chocolate bar. With a deliciously smooth taste and mouthfeel, the new range is the best of British and is proof that you don’t have to go far to find excellent chocolate.”

The new range, which consists of a milk, white, 55% dark and 71% dark chocolate bar and come in two sizes (94g and 65g), was developed with the British palate in mind and has a "sweet, creamy taste", said Oldbury.

Oldbury said the new range includes ‘Dark Milk’, which is very on trend for 2020, with a higher concentration of cocoa – and also featured in the range is “non-bitter” dark chocolate.

Alongside the Great British Chocolate range, Hames Chocolates’ also manufactures truffles, filled chocolates, chocolate bars, chocolate Neapolitans, Easter eggs, private label chocolates, bespoke chocolates, moulded chocolates, hollow chocolate figures and chocolate boxes, which make ideal business gifts.
