The announcement is being made as Ferrero plans to increase its North American footprint to distribute its growing portfolio of brands, including Butterfinger, CRUNCH, and Baby Ruth, and it will later add other Ferrero brands, such as Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, Tic Tac and Kinder.
New Jersey
The company recently expanded its North American headquarters in New Jersey, and opened a distribution center in Pennsylvania, and assumed management of two manufacturing plants in Bloomington and Franklin Park, Illinois.
The Pennsylvania facility will hire around 225 people by the end of 2020.
"Ferrero is investing in our presence and business in the US. We're introducing new brands and innovations, hiring top talent, and opening facilities like this Goodyear distribution center, all of which will help us continue to fuel the confectionery category," said Paul Chibe, president/CEO, Ferrero North America.
DHL Supply Chain North America will provide warehouse services for the Goodyear distribution center, including shipment consolidation, packaging, distribution, and inventory management.
Strong growth
"The rapid development of our supply chain helps drive strong growth for Ferrero," said Luca Robbiano, VP, North America Supply Chain, Ferrero.
"Our facilities in Pennsylvania and now Arizona represent important milestones in the expansion of our logistics capabilities in the market."
