Candy pack shape
Mike Wright, MD, Wrights Plastics, based in West Bromwich, UK, said the client’s brief could not have been simpler. To create a sales-boosting FSDU based around the Juicy Drop Pop Candy pack shape.
“We developed a concept that not only reflects Juicy Drop Pop’s quirky pack design but supports Bazooka Candy Brands “edible entertainment” philosophy with its funky features and engaging design,” he said.
The company had previously worked with the client manufacturing a feature FSDU for a different candy range.
“This was a great project for all of the team. It highlighted the complete end-to-end service that we have developed over recent years to meet client demand. The client loved the end result so much we have started another project with them, delivering Cargo Transport Units for the Juicy Drop Pop range.”
Wrights Plastics has 50 years POS retail display expertise and an in-house CAD team.
Vacuum forming
The manufacturing process included vacuum forming, line bending, laser cutting and drape moulding. All manufacturing was carried out at its 46,000 sq foot manufacturing base and then stored in its 9,000sq ft warehouse until required.
“Our near-photographic image quality and text-perfect Océ Arizona printers meant the digitally printed POS more than matched the products zingy ‘popping’ colours and product images,” added Wright.
