The eggs include a vegan-friendly option and the tie in with Ocado marks the brand’s first foray into the grocery market.
Love Cocoa says that every egg purchase will support its ‘One Bar, One Tree’ campaign to plant 500,000 trees in northern Cameroon in a bid to fight against deforestation and climate change. For every Love Cocoa product sold, the brand has pledged to plant a tree. Working in partnership with the charity Trees for the Future, the brand hopes the campaign will benefit both cocoa farmers and the environment.
“This launch represents exciting times for the Love Cocoa brand, bringing our award-winning flavours and unique designs to the masses via Ocado. We are also proud to be partnering with Trees for the Future and are committed to planting 500,000 trees in 2020, helping local communities in West Africa badly affected by deforestation,” said Cadbury.
The eggs sport Love Cocoa’s new-look packaging featuring modern geometric designs, 100% recyclable that’s also plastic free.
