ProSweets Cologne 2021 and ISM, which is being held parallel, are reporting significant interest in next year’s event when the re-start after the coronavirus pandemic kicks in.
The leading global trade fair for sweets and snacks is slated to run from 31 January to 3 February 2021 at the Koelnmesse exhibition and conference centre in the northern German city.
At the event this year, its 50th anniversary, the trade fair set a new record with 1,774 exhibitors from 76 countries. Organisers says they are very satisfied with the interest displayed by new exhibitors for 20201.
ProSweets director, Julia Kölsch, said in spite of the difficult times brought about by the coronavirus pandemic it has registered a significant demand from beyond Europe with companies from the USA, Hong Kong and Ghana all expressing an interest in next year’s event.
A stronger focus will be placed on ingredients at the coming event and an own section: 'ProSweets Ingredients - inspiring products' will be exclusively dedicated to the theme in Hall 5.2, next to the Trend & Natural Snacks of ISM.
"Our exhibitor clientele is looking forward to the industry event in the company of their ‘sweets family’ ProSweets Cologne and ISM,” said Kölsch.
“People want to engage in a dialogue with each other again, and primarily present their products to a wide audience. In an uncertain competitive environment after the coronavirus pandemic, with the aid of ProSweets Cologne, we can help our exhibitors boost their business again and present even more solutions, which will offer added value beyond the crisis. Many of our exhibitors appreciate ProSweets Cologne as an important industry platform.”
In the meantime, digital on demand concepts will be offered from autumn onwards with similar online services available for ProSweets Cologne 2021 for companies that will be unable to travel to Cologne.
