The recipes are inspired by De Groodt’s film friends, who have produced their own recipes for the project he has named ‘ConfiNure’, merging the ‘confinement’ charity element with the French for jam ‘confiture’
Pierre Marcolini, who is celebrated for his artisanal expertise, has brought the fruity confitures to life in his Brussels workshop. The jams are made using local organic ingredients and all proceeds will be donated to the Rêve de Cinéma charity.
“Whilst most of us are enjoying the freedom of life after lockdown, some sick or disabled children must continue their confinement without the hope of returning to normal life. Stuck in their hospital room year-round, they can smile thanks to their family and friends as well as the medical staff and carers who wait beside their bed. These are the children I think about as I launch this range of ‘ConfiNure’ jams. This project is for them and in aid of the Rêve de Cinéma charity,” said de Groodt.
