The Cocoa Association of Asia (CAA) has launched its first Cocoa Trading Programme in a bid to attract new recruits into the region’s burgeoning industry.

Conducted jointly by the CAA and the Singapore management University International Trading Institute, the programme is also the first to be established in Asia.

The programme was previously scheduled for April this year but was forced to postpone until this month as an online resource due to the Covid-19 crisis.

E-learning offers a fresh approach to how we adapt to this new normal. Participants will appreciate the interactive online programme, which includes the history and value of cocoa, understand how the cocoa trading chain functions, risk management and an opportunity to discuss and network at the comfort of home or anywhere. Previously from ophthalmology, I am looking forward to meeting and learning alongside our participants,” said Shirley Choo, Marketing Manager at the CAA.
