Organisers the National Confectioners Association (NCA) said many features of the show, including Destination Retail and industry awards, will remain an important part of the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo, and some features originally scheduled to debut at the 2020 show will be unveiled in Indianapolis, including the Most Innovative New Product Awards Reception and the Supplier Showcase.
One of the largest trade shows in the world for candy and confectionery that attracts prominent thought-leaders and innovators, this year’s event has been moved to Indiana from its usual home in Chicago following the cancellation last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The NCA said this year’s show will introduce new safety precautions as some coronavirus restrictions still apply and will reimagine favourite events to prioritise attendee safety.
Attendee registration is now open for all types of qualified non-exhibiting attendees and there will be a special pre-show day on 22 June.
