Andrew Reed, Managing Director, Events & Exhibitions for William Reed, said his organisation is extremely positive that it has "an irreversible plan" that means large events can start to run from the middle of June in the UK.
“Whilst we understand the challenges and the measures that need to be met over these four stages it importantly allows the food & drink industry to reunite at the NEC Birmingham from 5th – 7th July, at the UK Food & Drink Shows comprising Food & Drink Expo, Farm Shop & Deli Show, The Ingredients Show, Foodex, National Convenience Show and The Forecourt Show,” he said.
“We can’t wait to welcome visitors and exhibitors, all relishing a return to live action, this July.”
William Reed said it has worked closely with the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) in developing the industry wide AllSecure Standards, designed to provide the highest levels of hygiene and safety, allowing its shows to operate effectively and safely according to government and local authority guidance.
