As lockdown restriction ease in the UK, London and Los Angeles gourmet food brand eggslut has announced an Easter partnership with Tony’s Chocolonely to create a limited-edition chocolate fried egg for London customers.
This never-seen-before eggslut x Tony’s Chocolonely creation will be available as a dessert option to complement eggslut’s egg-inspired menu and can be ordered via Deliveroo, or picked up from eggslut’s Notting Hill and Fitzrovia restaurants via contactless collection.
Available over the Easter weekend, this is the first time since launching into the UK that the gourmet food concept will be offering an entirely new dessert option.
eggslut Operations Manager Bruno Pires says: “We’re really excited to partner with Tony’s Chocolonely to bring our Easter creation to life. Eggslut only partners with high quality suppliers and so when we came up with the chocolate fried egg concept, we knew we had to get Tony’s Chocolonely on board. The brand is on a mission to make 100% slave free the norm in chocolate, and we’re proud to play a small part in that.”
Extra dark chocolate
Tony’s extra dark chocolate 70% bar and milk caramel sea salt bar, which contain no palm oil and are suitable for vegetarians, inspired the creation of the limited-edition Easter treat that takes on the iconic shape of a fried egg.
Nicola Matthews, UKI Marketing Manager at Tony’s Chocolonely, said: “At Tony’s, we are crazy about chocolate and serious about people. We are delighted that eggslut want to have fun with our chocolate and help us to raise awareness for our mission, too.”
eggslut continues to remain open for delivery and collection, serving its fresh gourmet egg dishes to hungry Londoners in Portobello Road and Fitzrovia.
