Rogier van Sligter becomes Barry Callebaut’s EMEA President after Fleming’s exit

The Barry Callebaut Group has announced further changes to its executive committee following EMEA President Andrew Fleming’s sudden departure.

IN a release, the Group said the board has appointed Rogier van Sligter, currently Co-President EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), sole President EMEA, effective 1 October, 2021, following Fleming’s decision to 'pursue new career opportunities outside the Barry Callebaut Group'.

Last month Barry Callebaut announced that Masha Vis-Mertens and Massimo Selmo will join its Executive Committee in the positions of Human Resources Director and Purchasing Director, respectively, from 1 October.

Peter Boone took over from of Antoine de Saint-Affrique as CEO of Barry Callebaut in September.

Dutch national van Sligter (born 1973) joined Barry Callebaut in 2004 as account manager after a successful track record in different marketing roles for various companies.
