NHS Charities Together funds key projects that improve services for patients, as well as providing important practical and emotional support for NHS staff and volunteers. Love Cocoa said it hopes to raise in the region of £50,000 for the charity.
The ethical brand has also announced that with the sale of every calendar Love Cocoa will plant three trees in East Kenya as part of its continuing ‘Plant A Tree’ project, which aims to plant over ½ million trees this year in a bid to fight deforestation and climate change.
Remaining true to the brand’s British roots, the beautifully-illustrated, gold-embossed A3 calendar (both plastic free and 100% recyclable) depicts a fabulously festive winter scene in London, shining a spotlight on the country’s NHS heroes.
There’s a selection of four truffle varieties, handmade from sustainably-sourced, palm oil free and slave free single origin Colombian cocoa: Hazelnut Praline, Dark Chocolate Ganache, Gianduja Square and a Giant Rocher plus two surprise Love Cocoa mini bars to enjoy behind the 24th door.
Love Cocoa said it continues to go from strength-to-strength with permanent listings in Ocado and a sales value of £7.5m ($10.29m).
“Giving back was always part of the original Cadbury family's values and I'm pleased to be able to carry on the tradition with Love Cocoa this Christmas, helping generate much-needed funds to support NHS workers,” said Cadbury.
