The awards celebrate seasonal free-from products. All products that enter are fastidiously blind tasted by a specialist judging panel featuring chefs, manufacturers, dieticians, and allergy reactors, many being well-known figures in the food and allergy worlds.
NOMO bagged three coveted awards on the night: best large independent brand of the year, a gold award for its cookie dough reindeer, a new addition to the Christmas range, and a silver award for its advent calendar.
Since launching in 2019, NOMO has become a staple of the confectionery industry and is officially the number one vegan and free from chocolate brand in the UK.
The company is currently worth £7.6m in RSV, selling over 6.6 million in unit sales and 351 tonnes of chocolate.
Jacqueline Tyrrell, Brand Manager of NOMO said: “Achieving these awards is a real honour for NOMO. Our products are years in the making, with multiple recipe variations and trials to bring a product to market and make it a success. Being recognised and rewarded by the industry is a really proud moment for us.”
