The company claims its milk chocolate varieties are up 30–35% lower in calories and at this year’s Sweets & Snacks, it will debut Blonde, a caramelised white chocolate bar made with no added refined sugar.
To ensure indulgence, Red uses zero-calorie sweeteners obtained only from natural resources such melons, and for its Blonde bar incorporates technology that whips and heats milk until it caramelises. Its scientists add it to the white chocolate base to create a kosher, gluten-free bar that contains no palm oil.
