The world's largest event dedicated to chocolate takes over the sprawling Pavilion 5, where 20,000m2 of floorspace will be handed over to chocolate makers, pastry chefs and rising stars in the confectionery world.
A highly anticipated event for both industry players and choco-addicts, this edition - driven by French and international excellence – is also open to the general public, who will get the chance to meet chocolate makers such as Vincent Guerlais, François Pralus, Hugues Pouget, Philippe Conticini, the Maison Pariès and Chocolats Alléno & Rivoire.
Other highlights this year include:
- The World Chocolate Masters which will have as president of the jury Amaury Guichon, known for his trompe l'oeil chocolate sculptures,
- The Mondial des Arts Sucrés, which highlights the talents of the world pastry industry, has become a prestigious springboard for young pastry chefs.
- The Trophée de la Pâtisserie française honors the entire pastry profession and allows professionals and amateurs to defend their creations to the general public and to a jury of experts.
- The first edition of the Défi des Glaciers will elect the best ice cream or sorbet of the year 2022.
Another regular highlight of the Salon du Chocolat is the fashion show of chocolate dresses that runs throughout the weekend, along with chef’s demonstrations and latest innovations from producing countries, with a space specifically dedicated to bean-to-bar companies.
