Koelnmesse, the organisers of ProSweets Cologne 2023 - Special Edition, have announced they are increasing floor space due to strong demand from exhibitors wanting to take part in this year’s special format.

Suppliers from the international sweets and snacks industry are meeting up in Cologne in April for the Special Edition, which is being co-staged for the first time in a central area in the heart of ISM, one of the world’s leading international trade fair for sweets and snacks.

Organisers said the list of exhibitors of ProSweets Cologne covers all main sections of the industry from packaging materials and machines, to plants and automation, through to food safety and operating and auxiliary equipment - and the strong demand to participate in this one-off special format has led to the originally planned area being expanded several times.

“In this way, in April 2023 around 115 companies from 22 countries will be present at the most important trading and communication platform for the supplier sector of the sweets and snacks industry, including both international market leaders and the equally important smaller and medium-sized specialised suppliers.

ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition at ISM (23 - 25 April 2023)

  • ProSweets Cologne – Special Edition can be found "in the midst of ISM" in 2023. It is located on Koelnmesse Central Boulevard on the central visitor axis between the exhibition halls and in the adjacent Passage between Hall 4 and Hall 5. So, the visitors – and of course the exhibitors – will benefit even more directly from the close interlinking between the two trade fairs.
  • ISM and ProSweets Cologne not only use the facilities such as the entrances and the car parks jointly, the ticketing is also being processed by one online shop so that all tickets are available for both events.

“Interested parties will thus once again this year find a diversified and competent spectrum of offers comprising of solutions and equipment for a wide range of themes across the entire value chain at the Special Edition of ProSweets Cologne” Koelnmesse said in a statement.

The majority of the exhibitors come from European countries like Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and Poland. But countries such as the USA, Lebanon and Turkey are also represented among the exhibitors. The high level of internationality of the Special Edition is furthermore underlined by the two group stands of China.

“The significant increase in the participations from the sweet and snackable ingredients segment is particularly pleasing. In comparison to the previous event more than double the amount of exhibitors from the raw materials/ingredients/semi-finished goods are represented,” organisers said.
