UK artisanal confectionery brand has announced it has appointed Richard Parson as its new managing director after founder and previous MD Siân Holt stepped down last year due to illness.

The development follows the company's 40th anniversary in 2023, which also saw Fudge Kitchen become employee-owned shortly before Holt's sudden illness.

Finance Manager Linsey Priestley took charge while the high street brand sought a successor. In a recent transition, the Board of Directors and Trustees appointed Richard Parson to succeed Priestley as managing director following her decision to step back from the role.

Joining in January 2020, Parson’s tenure as Marketing and communications Manager proved pivotal. He navigated the company through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and spearheaded sustainability initiatives. Following Holt's illness, he assumed the Marketing and brand Director role, dedicated to championing the company's ethos and vision.

"I'm honoured to fill the role of Managing Director of such an inspiring company as Fudge Kitchen. I owe a debt of gratitude to our dedicated teams for their unwavering commitment to our mission of making the world a sweeter place and for their personal support," he said.

With six stores across the UK, a thriving e-commerce platform, and a renowned artisan production kitchen, the company said it remains committed to crafting exceptional confectionery experiences.
