Eat My Logo, a producer of logo branded cakes and biscuits, has acquired personalised chocolate gifts maker Cocoapod.

The deal included Cocoapod’s production operations, trading channels and intellectual property. Production has since been relocated to a custom-built facility within Eat My Logo’s bakery.

Previously, the Cocoapod brand primarily focused on the consumer-personalised gift market. Eat My Logo plans to expand the product range available through these channels.

Expanded offerings

Additionally, the Eat My Logo team is refining and enhancing the Cocoapod offerings, with a goal to introduce them to Eat My Logo customers by early 2025.

Commenting on the acquisition, Eat My Logo co-founder Andres Poar said: “We are thrilled to incorporate the excellent Cocoapod brand into our business. This acquisition strengthens our chocolate offerings and provides our customers with more variety. We have ambitious plans for the brand in the coming months and into next year.”

Founded 10 years ago by husband-and-wife team Andrew and Ruth Poar, Eat My Logo began life as a side project to Ruth’s high street celebration cake business. Since then, the company has grown rapidly and now operates out of a 10,000 sq.ft facility in Chorley with a team of 20 specialists.

B2B cake maker

Eat My Logo produces, packs, and ships tens of thousands of edible branded cakes, biscuits, and confectionery to hundreds of businesses across the UK each week, with orders ranging from a few units to hundreds of thousands.

Meanwhile, in other acquisition news, earlier this month saw plant-based food manufacturer Deliciously Ella acquired by the Hero Group for an undisclosed fee.

The Hero Group, which is headquartered in Switzerland, will use the move to expand its presence in the UK market, where it currently operates organic baby and kids food brand Organix. The acquisition did not include the Plants brand or restaurant, which will continue to be owned by Ella and Matthew.
