Sustainable nutrition sits at the heart of a transition towards a healthier future for people and planet.

Climate change is a material business risk for the food sector, with carbon footprints under scrutiny from regulators and consumers alike. Businesses lagging in the adoption of climate-smart strategies risk serious consequences, from reputational damage to long-term supply chain insecurity. Addressing inefficiencies in the food value chain and reducing the carbon impact of food production and consumption is vital for the delivery of healthy and sustainable diets.

But systemic risks can create business opportunities, and innovators are responding with new and inventive ways to transform our food system, driven by a deepening understanding of the links between nutrition, health, biodiversity and climate.

The Climate Smart Food Digital Summit covered issues ranging from Decarbonising Supply Chains at the Source, Eco-friendly Production from Farm to Fork, to New Tech and Novel Ingredients for a Sustainable Future.

The summit took place from the 24th to the 26th of September. Each day the session included interactive presentations, panel discussions, audience Q&As, fireside chats and elevator pitches.
