Daelmans enters biggest US discount retailer Dollar General

Daelmans has secured distribution for its stroopwafel duo packs in Dollar General stores across the US.

The Dutch firm has worked with its importer and distributor The Brand Passport – based in New York – to gain listings for Caramel Jumbo Duo in roughly 13,600 Dollar General stores in the snack aisle.

Daelmans Chocolate-Caramel Jumbo Duo will also enter 8,000 Dollar General stores at checkouts.

Dollar General operates 14,000 stores across 44 states and is the largest discount retail chain in the US.

The company entered the US last year and already has listings at Walgreens, 7-Eleven, Barnes & Noble Starbucks Cafes, Cost Plus World Markets and Publix among others.

Daelmans stroopwafels are also available on United Airlines flights on all morning, domestic flights before 9:45am.

Daelmans Banket BV was established in 1909 and claims to be the leading stroopwafel baker in the world. It has around 220 full-time staff and operates three plants in the Netherlands and one in the UK. Daelmans stroopwafels currently have distribution in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.
