From Skittles supporting Pride to a supersized Reese’s Cup, these are the latest products launching around the globe

Skittles supports Pride again in 2024

For the fifth year in a row Skittles is supporting LGBTQ+ advocacy organization GLAAD through sales of its limited edition Pride packs. The artwork is designed by female and minority-owned production company Nerd Productions and pack will be on sale in June with $1 per pack going to the charity. Continued support for LGNTQ+ communities will be ongoing beyond June with support for Meetup a directory of LGBTQ+ groups, events and resources.

Barebells-optimized

Another HFSS compliant bar with a fruit twist from Barebells

Swedish based innovator Vitamin Well Group added a new flavour to its HFSS compliant Barebell protein bar range. The Raspberry Cream iteration has 20g of protein and no added sugar. Other flavours in the range include Crispy Nougat, Cookies & Cream and Barebells Milkshake.

Sprinkles enters the CPG retail market

US-based bakery Sprinkles, famous for its cupcake ATMs and celebration cakes has entered the retail market with a line of cake-inspired chocolate bars. With flavours such as red velvet, salted caramel and sprinkle (a sweet white chocolate filled with rainbow sprinkles) they are bringing premium indulgence to the candy aisle at 4,000 Walmart locations across the US.

Hershey supersizes Reese’s for summer

While shrinkflation hits some parts of the confectionery sector, Reese’s is bucking the trend with the release of its Jumbo Cup edition that’s equivalent to four of its iconic king size cups in one. Small wonder that the brand’s stats show that 79% of consumers say the Jumbo Cup is more filling than the Regular and Big Cups.

The Jumbo Cup is available at selected US retailers this summer.

Tic Tac Chewy set for shelves in September

Ferrero has announced the release of its Tic Tac Chewy product which expands upon its popular hard mint brand. The Chewy product will come in two varieties: Fruit Adventure and Sour Adventure. Each of these products will be available to soft candy consumers in five fruity flavours: apple, Orange, Lemon, Cherry, and Grape.

Tic Tac Chewy will be available from September in several US retailers including Walmart, Amazon and Kroger. The product range will expand throughout the US in early 2025.
